The Tiny Art Show!
Blue Crow Gallery is proud to present the first-everTiny Art Show!
Celebrating the creativity, imagination, and hard work of our amazing After School Art Club students!
This exhibition features artwork created throughout the 2025–2026 program year;
filled with bold ideas, colourful experimentation, and plenty of personality!
Over the course of the year, students explored a wide range of materials, techniques, and artistic styles while developing their own unique creative voices. From playful concepts to carefully crafted final pieces, each artwork reflects the curiosity, growth, and confidence built in the studio week after week.
For many of these young artists, this is also their very first gallery exhibition experience - complete with preparing artwork for display, seeing their pieces professionally presented, and sharing their creativity with friends, family, and the community.
The Tiny Art Show is a joyful celebration of imagination, creativity,
and the next generation of artists at Blue Crow Gallery.
The Next Generation of Young Artists
The Tiny Art Show is a chance to celebrate and encourage the next generation of artists as they share their work with the community for the very first time.
By purchasing a piece from the exhibition, you’re doing more than taking home original artwork -
you’re helping young artists build confidence, express themselves creatively, and experience what it means to have their work truly valued and supported.
95% of every artwork sale goes directly to the student artist.

Title: Not Myself
Medium: Acrylic Paint and Coloured Pencil
My Inspiration: “My inspiration was “The Art of Saying Nothing” by Amanda Immurs; I liked the bear – I thought the bear was interesting and I didn’t want to do something too cartoony, but I’m not as strong with realism and I thought – I wanted to do something different with an animal. I wanted to feel like you were looking at yourself and decide that you’re not yourself; if you’re ever sad or angry, you might look at yourself and wonder why you’re not yourself right now. I wanted to look at it in a different way – kind of like the feeling you get when you’re pretending.”
My Favourite Part of Creating: “I like when you’ve put in all of the effort, and you step back, and you look at it, and you think, “I did that,” and it’s really satisfying. My Favourite Part of Creating: “After you create you get to have your piece and I get to display it! It’s really fun to try different art things; but wool is my favourite. I think it’s very unique, I love the texture and how fluffy it is, I can just create and I feel calm and very focused!”

Title: Autumn Mist
Medium: Acrylic Paint, Paint Brush, Wood, Sponge, Paint Makers
My Inspiration: “I really love birds, and I feel like it would be so cool to visit a place where there’s no human contact, just the wildlife. I think it would probably be in Algonquin Park. I chose to do Autumn leaves because they contrasted well with the waterfall, and it's really pretty when the leaves turn red and yellow but haven’t fallen yet.”
My Favourite Part of Creating: “My favourite part is probably the way of the paintbrush goes back and forth. I like painting the water and having to go side by side, and add blobs of paint and blending it out. I Like the application of the paint. Usually, I like to think of the idea myself from my imagination.

Title: The Freedom of the Seasons
Medium: Coloured Pencils and Acrylic Paint
My Inspiration: “Personally, my favourite season is Spring because I love cherry blossoms, I love to go to my favourite Sushi Place and then to High Park to see them – I just like nature because it’s pretty! I really, really love to go swimming during the Summer, and I love the smell of freshly cut grass. I feel like the leaves that come off the trees in Autumn are also really pretty. The only part of Winter I really like is the Snow because I love making stuff out of Snow. And I like to take the little icicles.”
My Favourite Part of Creating: “I just really like getting to do whatever I want on a page, and I can, if I want, make something that looks random, or I can make stuff that has reasons - anything I feel like doing! I love the freedom of creating! I feel like I have the most inspiration when I’m supposed to be in bed sleeping, when my brain relaxes. My favourite kind of thing to draw is cartoon animals, because they’re animals, and creatures, it’s not as bad if I make a mistake. I don’t really like drawing people.”

My Inspiration: “I used to watch Magic School Bus, and in one of the episodes, there is a Hummingbird and I thought about it a lot and thought I could paint that. I really enjoyed drawing the droopy flowers.”
My Favourite Part of Creating: “I like when you’re done, it looks pretty good. It’s fun to do because it’s not like doing homework.
