Not Myself
Acrylic Paint and Coloured Pencil
MY INSPIRATION: My inspiration was “The Art of Saying Nothing” by Amanda Immurs; I liked the bear – I thought the bear was interesting and I didn’t wasn’t to do something too cartoony but I’m not as strong with realism and I thought – I wanted to do something different with an animal you wouldn’t compare to human – I wanted to feel like you were looking at yourself and decide that you’re not yourself; if you’re ever sad or angry, you might look at yourself and wonder why you’re not yourself right now but I wanted to look at it in a different way – kind of like the feeling you get when you’re pretending.
MY FAVOURITE PART OF CREATING: I like when you’ve put in all of the effort and you step back and you look at it and you think “I did that” and it’s really kind of satisfying. I get inspiration from listening to other people talk about art and think what’s something I could do that I want to do – but it’s like, different.
