My paintings are a conduit through which to connect with others through similar shared experiences and memories. From scenes abroad to local urban views, to snapshots of a special meal, and birds flying overhead, my artwork highlights the excitement of living in the moment and sparks conversations that bring joy through reminiscing. I focus on capturing the energy of fleeting impressions by using interesting cropped compositions so the scene continues to unfold in the viewer’s mind, beyond the canvas. I primarily paint in acrylics, which enables me to layer colours and textures rapidly, while maintaining loose and bold brushstrokes.
