My practice revolves around contemporary still life as a way of exploring intimacy, memory, and the emotional atmosphere of domestic spaces. I work with vessels, florals, fruit, and gardens cultivated over time, creating immersive paintings that move beyond literal representation toward something more atmospheric and emotionally felt.
Named for the flowers they depict, All a Twitter, Fermosa, and Juliet celebrate the beauty and quiet presence of everyday blooms in everyday vessels. Working from a close point of view, I invite viewers into the painting, where luminous colour, layered mark-making, and traces of earlier decisions create surfaces that speak to memory, time, and connection.
