A self-taught artist, Monica works primarily with specialty papers, intricately cutting and layering it to build imagined worlds filled with colour and detail. Her practice is inspired by a lifelong sense of wonder for the natural world, particularly the animals, plants, and landscapes that surround us. Through her work, she hopes to invite viewers into moments of curiosity and quiet reflection, celebrating the beauty and interconnectedness of life on Earth.

Monica currently lives in Caledon, Ontario, where she has been happily enjoying country life and chatting with the forest critters for over 20 years.
