Oil on Canvas

Based in Pickering, Ontario, my artwork bridges the familiar beauty of the Durham Region with the untamed spirit of the Canadian North. My paintings are forged on the local trails and waterways right outside my door, and stretched across the remote backcountry where I hike, camp, and fish.

I don't paint landscapes simply to replicate a view; I paint to capture the raw, vibrant energy of being entirely alive within them. Whether capturing the hidden pockets of wilderness winding through Durham or the vast, uncompromising vistas of the deep North, my goal is the same: to translate the shifting light of the seasons into a language of pure motion.

Influenced by the bold legacy of the Group of Seven and the vivid emotion of Post-Impressionism, my work relies on thick, expressive layers of oil and acrylic. Using heavy brushwork and a rich palette, I mirror the jagged textures of rock, pine, and water. Rather than smoothing out nature's edges, I want you to feel the wind, the grit, and the relentless pulse of the land.

Every canvas is an open door... an invitation to step off the paved path and connect with the rugged soul of the wilderness we call home.
