Life near the Atlantic Ocean has offered an endless stream of inspiration for the work that Erin creates. She loves spending her time surfing, swimming, paddling, and walking along the coast. Her artworks reflect upon these experiences by selecting the most magical moments that connect with the water and nature has to offer. Erin is especially drawn to the way water moves and captures colour and light, the textures and shapes of seaweeds and shells and the way that we connect with and find peace within the ocean. Her illustrations are typically done with ink and watercolour, paintings typically with oil paint and her primary form of print is relief. Erin enjoys creating artworks of still lives of things she finds on the beach and in the water, all aspects of surfing and surf culture, as well as exploring ocean folklore, legends and myths.
