Gudrun Gallo has been painting contemporary landscapes, scenes of everyday life, and, of course, her vivid florals, for more than thirty years. She has always been creative throughout her life, and in her career as a print and editorial art director for national magazines and newspapers, like The Globe & Mail.
She is continually cultivating and honing her unique style, painting mostly in acrylic and oils. Sometimes in her impressionistic style, touching on Canadian themes in her landscapes and waterscapes. As well as painting scenes of her native Iceland in a contemporary style using a limited earthy palette.
Gudrun’s work has been collected both privately and publicly, and she has displayed her work in various regional juried shows and galleries throughout Southeastern Ontario.
