I was born in Constanta, on the Black Sea shore, in Romania's beautiful and multicultural Dobrogea region. I studied fine arts in high school and university, specializing in graphics and printmaking.
My work draws heavily on the long-established tradition of sequential art. I also find inspiration in 19th-century book illustrations, 18th-century fashion, depth psychology, medieval illuminated manuscripts, film, music, poetry, costume design, foreign languages, and ancient cultures.
I have been working as a visual merchandiser and window dresser for many years, and I enjoy creating whimsical seasonal displays filled with beauty, elegance, and magic.
In truth, I am a poet and philosopher at heart, and I love nothing more than to delight my soul with larger-than-life ideas. I believe all great works of art endure because they partake of wisdom, beauty, kindness, grace, and nobility.
