I'm a contemporary landscape artist from Toronto. My paintings explore the quiet poetry of water through minimalist acrylic paintings. I am drawn to the calm and stillness found in natural waterscapes and their ability to quiet the mind and support emotional well-being.
Using a restrained, monochromatic palette in muted blues and greys, along with simplified compositions, each painting offers the viewer a moment of pause and a sense of calm and serenity amidst the noise of daily life. Texture plays an essential role in my process. Through layers of impasto in the water and land, I build subtle variations that evoke movement without disturbance - a balance between depth and simplicity.
