Lynda's first solo show was in 1990 and titled "Nature's Heartbeat."
She had recently graduated from McMaster University with an Honours degree in Fine Arts and was on her way to Windsor University to pursue her Bachelor of Education. She will never forget that thrilling feeling of conversing with people at the show about her work. Her journey began as a printmaker, etching copper plates, pulling prints, and hand-painting them. She also enjoyed creating massive woodcuts using a router to carve with, and a wooden spoon to meticulously transfer each layer of ink to these limited-edition prints.

Amid a fulfilling 25+ year career in education, she is grateful to make a return to "Nature's Heartbeat," and has begun a wonderful and new artistic journey.

As Lynda eagerly embraces inspiration, she remains firmly grounded in nature. She actively seeks connections and deep roots, finding parallels in the interdependency of the land.

Lynda paints using acrylics, on canvas as well as wood. Colour, shape, and line are elements found in all of her pieces, with movement and energy conveyed through brushstrokes. Most, if not all, of her collections, whether abstract or contemporary landscapes, are inspired by Lynda's fascination and love of nature. She feels very fortunate to be able to share her interpretations of landscapes through her paintings.

Lynda is represented by several galleries, including Blue Crow Gallery, Loft Gallery, Oxtongue Craft Cabin & Gallery, Pivot Gallery and the Art Gallery of Burlington. Her work can be found across Canada, in the United States, and internationally.
