Shannon Dickie is a Toronto-based oil painter drawn to the movement and emotion of fleeting moments. Working with a soft, dry brush technique, she blurs the edges of her figures to evoke memory and dream-like nostalgia. Inspired by vacation photos and beach scenes, her recent work explores quiet, intimate snapshots of leisure and human connection. Shannon’s love of colour mixing adds vibrancy to her muted, figurative landscapes, inviting viewers to project their own memories onto each scene. She holds a BA in Studio Art from the University of Guelph and paints from her studio with Flick the Switch Collective in Parkdale.
