Jennifer Bain

After graduating from the University of Western Ontario with Honours in Visual Arts and English, Jennifer settled into a rewarding career as a secondary-level Visual Arts teacher. For the past twenty years, she’s had the pleasure of teaching art to young creatives. At home, she facilitates impromptu art lessons with her three small children and retreats behind the door of her studio during free time.

Jennifer’s work reflects a desire to connect and document moments of awe and wonder in nature. Inspiration manifests through her artwork with various methods and mediums, from heavily textured to smooth and blended, from a play with transparency to a building of opacity. Jennifer was inspired as a young girl vacationing in the Kawartha Lakes region, a place that is still full of life and adventures for her family. From the rolling granite to the welcoming open fields, Jennifer’s interpretation of “bright waters and happy lands” is on display in her work.
