David Carmichael

Born and raised in the pastoral Kawartha region of Ontario, David grew up in a rural setting.
He formed an early and strong connection with the landscape and nature which inspires his work.

Drawn to the arts from an early age, his post-secondary studies focused on art and graphic design. Professionally, David has been an award-winning graphic designer and brand developer for over thirty years. Having recently returned to painting, David is exploring his past and depicting the memories of youth. Broad, energy-filled brush strokes create images full of emotion
