I am a multi media artist inspired by the tranquil beauty of the rural landscape and the numerous gardens surrounding my home. Many of my works are based on the theme of memories and family. I endeavour to create a magical solitude, a feminine space where the love and connection to family and nature are represented.
The figures symbolize the enduring influence of my roots on both my personal and artistic journey. They are a heartfelt tribute to my ancestors and heritage and a connecting thread to the past and present.
The red house appears in many of my works and represents home, the anchor of a journey's beginning or end, where body and spirit are restored and nurtured.
Gelatin plate printmaking is an exciting medium and I enjoy combining drawing, mixed media and collage to create a unique and distinctive work of art.
