“I’ve always been drawn towards water, and feel most alive when I am close to water. I live surrounded by water, and in the summer time especially, I watch the reflections, and the shapes the motion of the ripples make. I’m completely taken hostage by it! Painting is just my response to that crazy love.
My raindrop series began on a rainy spring day, while I was jumping in puddles with my kids. I became mesmerized by the patterns the raindrops made... I stood there watching, for who knows how long, in the pouring rain, then rushed to the studio to try to figure it all out. Since then, raindrops have become more and more interesting to me, a little of an obsession... it can be said of anything, the closer you look, the more there is to discover.”
